Tapalpa, Tequila & Jala

Join Mexican National Champion and chef extraordinaire Estefano Salgado, Mexican guide Chema, and Nick Greece for a tour to remember that will visit past Paragliding World Cup locale Tapalpa. After sampling this great site we will head Tequila to end the trip in style. If the weather requires a move we will head to Jala and Nayarit to chase the good life and the great thermals flying Ceboruco and other great sites!

November 16, 2024 - Travel Day

Arrive at Guadalajara Airport by 9 PM. Take the 2-hour drive to Tapalpa. Arrive in Tapalpa by 8:15 for dinner.

November 17-21

Fly Tapalpa!

November 21-22

Fly jala! In Jala will be staying in Nukari Quinta Boutique hotel, featuring a very nice restaurant, spa and rooftop bar. Fun fact about Jala is that they have the Guinness record for the biggest corn in the world!

November 23

Drive 2.5 hours to Tequila (all highway driving). In Tequila we will visit the Orendain Factory and the Tequila Arete factory for tastings. We will stay at the Casa Tahona: a 3-minute walk from the Cathedral of Tequila and a 10-minute walk from the factory. There i no need to drive anywhere! There are many incredible food options in Tequila and the afternoon mariachis and drinks are a blast!

November 24 - Travel Day

Drive to Guadalajara Airport to fly out.
